Accomplished Jazz Vocalist and Saxophonist player Suzanne Grzanna
directs her talents in her Jazz Quartet. Suzanne's background
started in classical music. At the age of five she started piano and
won many awards in "The National Guild Auditions" throughout grade
school. During this time Suzanne also started learning the
clarinet, saxophone and voice. She attended Wisconsin Lutheran
College from 1986-1989. Ms. Grzanna graduated from Carroll College
in Waukesha, WI in 1991 with a B.S. in Music and Business
Administration. Ms. Grzanna was also a member of the Milwaukee
Symphony Chorus from 1988-1991. In the contempory band, Malachi,
Suzanne refined her talents as a saxophonist, vocalist and
keyboardist. In August of 1993, Suzanne Grzanna started her jazz
quartet. Her first CD titled "The Cat's Meow" was aired on BET (The
Black Entertainment Channel). Not only has Ms. Grzanna performed in
Milwaukee, but also in Los Angeles, Pasadena, Santa Barbara, Las
Vegas, Chicago, Vail, and Oregon. From 1995-1997 ASCAP has honored
Ms. Grzanna with Songwriting Awards. Suzanne also has just won the
1997 WAMI AWARD (Wisconsin Area Music Industry Award) for BEST JAZZ
ARTIST of 1997. Under Grzanna Jazz Productions she will be producing
a new CD in 1998.

Starting at age 5, Suzanne Grzanna
started on her successful path to become an accomplished
jazz vocalist and saxophonist.
Performing 40's style jazz, her talents have lead her to
performances in Wisconsin, Illinois, Oregon, California
and Colorado. She received the 1997 WAMI Award for
Contempory Jazz Artist of the year. This spring, her
music will be featured on Northwest Airlines inflight
service, and a song from her debut release "The Cat's
Meow" will appear on an upcoming promotional Disc Makers
CD. Most recently, she finalized a Japenese Distribution
deal. Suzanne states, "I am very excited about the
opportunities that are presenting themselves," as she
prepares for a spring CD release, and a West Coast tour
set for June.

February 6th at The Ale House (5:30 - 7:30 p.m.) and The
